Bulldog Kia is excited to share that we are now a part of the Butler Auto Group! On September 9, 2024, Bulldog Kia joined the BAG Family as the first Kia dealership in the group and the 15th store owned by the Butler family. The Butler Auto Group is a family owned and operated business with over 50 years of experience in the automotive industry. The team’s mission statement can be found HERE. With attention to delivering great customer service and providing a people-focused team, we are able to ensure that we are delivering the best possible experience for our customers.

The Butler family’s first dealership officially launched in 1970 by Milton Butler and his son, Marshall Butler Sr. Before that and 37 years earlier, Milton started selling cars at his Alma Chevrolet dealership. He later sold Alma Chevrolet in 1966. Growing up in the dealership world, Marshall Sr’s sons, Marshall Jr. and Morris, began helping around the dealership by washing cars on the weekends and assisting in other areas until they officially joined the business in the 1990s as third generation Butlers in the industry. In 2009, Marshall Jr. and Morris became Co-Presidents and still operate the BAG today alongside their sister Bonnie Butler Gibson.

The Butler Auto Group has a heart for the community and this aligns perfectly with Bulldog Kia’s mission and history. The Bulldog Kia team has been excited to share the love for Athens and the community with the Butlers. Being longtime UGA Bulldog fans and graduating from UGA’s Terry College of Business themselves, the Butlers are familiar with Bulldog Kia’s love of football, UGA, and all things Athens.
